Webinar: Municipalization Efforts in the City of Boulder, Colorado

On October 13, 2011, Applied Solutions invited the City of Boulder, Colorado, to discuss its municipalization efforts.

In the Fall of 2011, citizens of Boulder, Colorado will have an historic opportunity to vote for the creation of a community-controlled electric utility that maintains low rates, achieves high reliability and produces local jobs. Boulder’s Energy Future goal is to ensure that residential, business and other institutional customers have access to safe, reliable energy that is competitively priced, increasingly clean, and is as locally produced as possible – giving customers more choice and control in their power. After months of rigorous analysis and hours of debate in City Council Chambers, the important issue of where and how Boulder gets its energy is moving to a new arena-the voting booth.
